EXTREMADURA PURA Es un espectáculo flamenco que -con su reunión sobre el escenario de un plantel de excepcionales artistas extremeños consagrados- encarna los valores más característicos de los estilos flamencos alumbrados por los gitanos extremeños: duende, bravura, compás y corazón. Los jaleos y tangos son modalidades del flamenco que, popularizados en su momento por la gran figura que fue Porrina de Badajoz, han logrado preservar en Extremadura su pureza, esencia, son y aroma propios.
Ha sido el constante éxito y reconocimiento cosechados entre el público y la crítica por estos artistas lo que ha generado la iniciativa de congregarlos para ofrecer a los melómanos lo mejor de su cante, su toque y su baile autóctonos en un montaje, hoy por hoy, único y que ha conocido un triunfo de clamor en Madrid, Sevilla, Nimes, Lisboa, Varsovia, Berlín y otras ciudades. El público de todas ellas, sin excepción, ha quedado cautivado por la naturalidad y el don innato con que estos flamencos expresan su sentimiento artístico.
Propuesta flamenca sin aditivos y puesta en pie por artistas cuyo proceder escénico no se aprende en academias, pues -gobernado por la espontaneidad y el corazón- refleja ante todo una filosofía de vida, su eje fundamental gira en torno a los estilos extremeños, pero también aborda otros palos fundamentales en el flamenco -soleá, alegrías, minera, bulerías, fandangos...- de modo que todos los aficionados puedan sentirse reconocidos en el curso de la -aproximadamente- hora y veinte minutos que dura la representación.
LA KAÍTA.- Familia de Porrina de Badajoz, a quien se ha llamado “la última comanche del flamenco” y propuesta este año para ser galardonada con la Medalla de Oro de Extremadura, es cantaora carismática, genial, de apuestas tonales inverosímiles y de sumo impacto en la audiencia. Rostro y voz habituales en las películas y espectáculos de Tony Gatliff, participó en la serie televisiva El Ángel y brilló con luz propia en las primeras comparecencias artísticas de Pata Negra.
ALEJANDRO VEGA.- Voz masculina de Extremadura Pura, es cantaor de sentimiento en carne viva y aire cautivador. Tío de Remedios Amaya, aprendió de su madre los viejos cantes de los gitanos de la Plaza Alta de Badajoz y es hoy un nombre fundamental en el cante por tangos y jaleos, así como intérprete de gran sabor de los estilos de Levante.
ANTONIO SILVA EL PEREGRINO.- Veterano bailaor venerado por los aficionados de más exquisito paladar, se alzó ya con 18 años con la victoria en un certamen de baile celebrado en Jerez, antes de ser aplaudido en Torres Bermejas, El Corral de la Morería y otros célebres tablaos de Madrid en la época dorada de estos. La pureza y rotundidad de su marcaje y sus desplantes le erigen en fuente de la que beber y figura con sitio propio en su arte.
MIGUEL VARGAS.- Inspirador en su día del espectáculo Flamenco y Fado y recientemente galardonado con el prestigioso Premio Tío Luis el de la Juliana, recibido también por artistas como Paco de Lucía, Serranito o El Pele, es la gran referencia de la guitarra extremeña. Intérprete de extraordinario gusto, bendecido con un pulgar de oro y pulsador de acentos que llegan al corazón, es sin duda uno de los penúltimos grandes clásicos de la guitarra flamenca, que ha codificado y fijado el toque por jaleos, dejándolo para la historia.
JUAN VARGAS.- Hijo de Miguel Vargas y heredero legítimo, pues, de una forma de tocar la guitarra macerada a fuego lento en el seno de su familia, su guitarra suena con esa solera de la casa y de la tierra sobre las que se basamenta Extremadura Pura y es garantía firme de la continuidad de la tradición.
Artistas de artistas, aplaudidos por los públicos y también admirados por sus compañeros, la conjunción de sus respectivos talentos hace de Extremadura Pura un deleite para el amante del flamenco genuino.
EXTREMADURA PURA It is a show that - with it´s meeting on the stage of a team of exceptional artists - embodies the most characteristic values of flamenco styles illuminated by Extremadura gypsies: "duende", bravery, compass and heart. The jaleos and tangos are modalities of flamenco that, popularized at the time by the great figure that was Porrina de Badajoz, have managed to preserve in Extremadura it´s peculiar purity, essence, sound and aroma.
It has been the constant success and recognition harvested between the public and the critics for these artists which has generated the initiative of bringing them together to offer to the music lovers the best of their singing, their touch and their native dance in a montage, today, unique and that has known a triumph of clamor in Madrid, Seville, Nimes, Lisbon, Warsaw, Berlin and other cities. The public of all of them, without exception, has been captivated by the naturalness and the innate gift with which these flamencos express their artistic feeling.
A flamenco proposal without additives and set up by artists whose stage behavior is not learned in academies, because - governed by spontaneity and heart - reflects above all a philosophy of life, its fundamental axis revolves around the styles of Extremadura, but also tackles other fundamental sticks in flamenco - solos, alegrías, minera, bulerías, fandangos ... - so that all the fans can feel recognized in the course of the - approximately - hour and twenty minutes of the performance.
LA KAÍTA.- relative of Porrina de Badajoz, who has been called "the last flamenco comanche" and proposed this year to be awarded the Gold Medal of Extremadura, is a charismatic canon, great, improbable tonal bets and huge impact on the audience.
